Biografía XXL son:
Historia: - 1991 - XXL comienza su carrera musical con el nombre de Deus Deceptor. Nace en Tres Cantos ( Madrid ) con cinco componentes. En todos estos años el grupo ha pasado por diversas etapas, con muchas horas de ensayo a la espalda, cantidad de conciertos, colaboraciones y mútiples trabajos, hasta dar con el resultado que buscaban. - 1995 - Editan su primera maqueta de estudio llamada "Deus Deceptor", en los estudios Sonobox de Madrid, de la mano de Manuel Colmenero y Javier Carretero. En este mismo año, el grupo es contratado para llevar a cabo la banda sonora del cortometraje "Centeno" de Oscar Espín, con el tema "Psychokiller". - 1996 - La segunda maqueta no se hace esperar. Llega "Dead dream line". Algo diferente de la primera y más cercana al tipo de música que el grupo buscaba. Nuevamente y en este mismo año, Deus Deceptor pone música al corto de Luis Espín, "Voces Blancas", con la canción "Insane". - 1997 - Nueva grabación, esta vez un directo, en la Sala Siroco de Madrid. Y tras ello, llega "When I die", su tercera maqueta y cuarto trabajo editado. - 1998 - En poco más de un año, Luis Espín vuelve a contratarles para dar sonido al corto "Cara de Cielo" con la canción "Pain". Al mismo tiempo ya se engendraba la cuarta maqueta que se edita este mismo año bajo el título "A new age of Aggression". XXL ya esta cerca... - 1999 - En cuanto a conciertos, es difícil resumir. El grupo ya cuenta con más de 150 actuaciones en locales y salas de Madrid y alrededores, entre muchas, las fiestas del PCE en septiembre de 1998 y en la sala Hebe en junio de 1999. Numerosas actuaciones en distintas salas de Madrid como Siroco, Davai, Yasta, Trylobyte, Sala Maravillas, sala Caracol, Barazar, etc..., sala Manhattan en Toledo,... Por aquel entonces ya habían teloneado a bandas como Aspid y Orujo de Brujas, actuando también con Not for us o Sandal Sue. - 2000 - Consiguen terminar semifinalistas en el concurso Emergenza Rock Festival y así, entre maquetas, conciertos y colaboraciones, durante este año nace XXL, que no es sino una evolución de todo lo anterior y el fruto de la experiencia de todos estos años. Llega entonces un nuevo fichaje, el Dj Abuelo que junto con Dani, Francis, Juan, Javi y Nacho forman XXL. - 2001 - La maqueta que grabará en los estudios Sonobox este año 2001 será su pasaporte para conseguir el contrato discográfico. Se incorpora la electronica y el hip hop, y sus textos dan un paso adelante en mensaje y claridad. En esta maqueta se puede ya palpar el metal difícil de catalogar que luego caracterizará a la banda en sus posteriores trabajos. - 2002 - El 2 de diciembre se lleva a cabo una audición en la sala Ritmo y Compás, con diversas compañias discográficas y una gran asistencia de público. Semanas más tarde y tras diversas negociaciones y 12 años de contínuo trabajo, XXL es fichado por Warner Music. - 2003 - Comienza con la preparación y posterior grabación de su primer álbum. Fieles a sus primeros productores, la grabación se realiza en los estudios Sonobox en Madrid a cargo de Manolo Colmenero y Javibu Carretero. - 2004 - El 10 de febrero ve la luz "117db", su primer disco, que no deja indiferente a nadie dentro del panorama nacional. De este trabajo se extrae el primer single "Fran", que posteriormente pasó a ser la canción insignia de la banda. Su videoclip fue emitido en MTV, 40TV, Sol Música, a nivel nacional durante varios meses, consiguiendo un notable numero 1 en el MTV Rock Chart en su cuarta semana en lista. "Lo que quiera" es elegido como segundo single y su clip tiene un nivel de difusión similar al primero. Entrevistas y actuaciones en TVE Música1, MTV, 40TV, Radios como Rockservatorio, etc... así como numerosas radios por internet y apariciones en Metal Hammer, Kerrang, Mondo Sonoro, Bad Magazine, etc... completaron su promoción. El 5 de febrero la sala Caracol es espectadora de la presentación de "117db", y a partir de ah XXL comienza una gira a nivel nacional teniendo excelentes críticas de toda la prensa musical. Telonean a bandas como Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fear Factory, Korn o Slipknot. - 2005 - El 14 de Junio ve la luz su segundo disco "(12.0) Richter", bajo la misma producción que el anterior. La promoción se reduce, esta vez, casi exclusivamente hacia la red, y de este trabajo se extrae el single "Absolución," de la que grabarían su tercer video clip. - 2006 - De su segundo single "Ni un paso atrás" daría forma su cuarto video clip, producido por primera vez por el propio grupo y con la dirección de los hermanos Espín. Su mensaje es toda una declaración de intenciones. XXL empieza a implicarse también a nivel de promoción y consigue presentar su album en varios medios como en RNE (Radio Nacional de España) en su programa "Bienvenidos al paraso", actuación en directo para Localia Tv y un largo etc. Festimad, Viña Rock, Iberrock y diversos teloneos a bandas de primer nivel como Korn en Malaga y Barcelona, son objetivos cumplidos con críticas muy positivas por parte de público y prensa. - 2007 - La banda vuelve a tomar el control de su carrera, pidiendo y consiguendo la carta de libertad a Warner y basando todo su esfuerzo en la preparación de lo que puede ser su disco más importante. El recorrido es largo y compaginan la composición, preproducción y grabación del album con numerosos shows. De nuevo telonean a la banda Korn que les pidió específicamente para telonearles en su actuación en la plaza "Cubierta de Leganes" de Madrid . - 2008 - Durante este año el trabajo de la banda pasa desapercibido para la mayoría, sin embargo no hay un minuto de pausa ni de tregua, ya que durante este año graban con sus propios medios la mayor parte del nuevo disco a la vez que siguen tocando en directo. - 2009 - Reciben una propuesta de la discográfica independiente "Indica" con la que editaran posteriormente su tercer disco. El 7 de agosto la banda anuncia la salida de su batería de siempre y fundador desde 1991: Francisco José Ramírez, y la incorporación de Miguel Febrero Millán como nuevo batería. Este será presentado en directo en una actuación en las fiestas de Canillejas (Madrid), el 6 de Septiembre del mismo año. - 2010 - Su tercer álbum sale en Febrero y lleva por titulo "Tercer dia". Es, sin ninguna duda, el trabajo más personal de la banda. Se abre el paisaje sonoro aún más que en los anteriores discos y el resultado es mucho más directo, melódico y visceral. Despues de 4 años de dura lucha y continuo trabajo, Tercer día, es mucho más que la resurrección de XXL. La energa y emotividad de los temas que componen el álbum es directamente proporcional al esfuerzo y sacrificio realizado para sacar adelante una producción que ha sido llevada de principio a fin por la propia banda. Producido por XXL, mezclado y masterizado por Juan Acevedo (guitarrista de XXL), el álbum es presentado a través de su primer single "Resurgir" cuyo (quinto) video clip corre a cargo de Jaleos Producciones. El dia 26 de Febrero se realiza la presentación de Tercer día en Sala Caracol de Madrid. Ademas de diferentes presentaciones a nivel nacional y, por supuesto, una nueva gira donde la banda vuelve a demostrar el conocimiento adquirido a lo largo de los años. No hace falta mas que escuchar unos pocos segundos de su nuevo disco para entender su mensaje: " Hemos vuelto, estamos vivos y las circunstancias nos han hecho mucho más fuertes" (Dani Criado: Bajista y principal compositor de XXL). - 2011 - En marzo Miguel Febrero Millán , decide dejar la banda por motivos personales. Como nuevo batería se incorpora Adrián Castillo Trujillo (Sons of Rock). - 2012 - En la actualidad el grupo se encuentra empezando a componer temas para el siguiente disco y trabajando con el nuevo miembro para ofrecer un renovado show, ya preparado para volver a mostrarlo en directo. History: XXL starts the musical Carrere under the name of Deus Deceptor. They were born in Tres Cantos (Madrid) in 1991 and they were 5 members. Throughout these years the band has gone through different stages spending endless hours rehearsing and polishing up their act, performing many concerts, collaborations and other works until end up with the results that they were looking for. Their first Studio demo "Deus Deceptor", was published in 1995, within Sonobox studios in Madrid, under the cooperation of Manuel Colmenero y Javier Carretero. From that moment the band was hired to take out the soundtrack for the short film Centeno by Oscar Espn using the song Psychokiller. The second demo did not take long for them to come up with as in 1996 "Dead dream line" was published. This had some different features than the first time however closer than what the band was looking for. Once again and also in the same year Deus Deceptor provides with the soundtrack of the short film Voces Blancas by Lus Espin, with the song Insane. In 1997, there was a new sound recording in Sala Siroco Madrid, this time it was in live. After this they came up with When I die, their third demo and also their forth published work. Not even within a year, one more time Luis Espn in 1998 asked them to record the sound tracker for the short film Cara de Cielo using one of their songs, Pain. In 2003 started arranging everything to record the first Album. Sonobox studios in Madrid, under the cooperation of Manuel Colmenero y Javier Carretero. On the 10th of February 2004 "117db" was released, public throughout the country was overwhelmed by this new album where Fran, the first single that it is picked from the album, later it is nominated to be the emblem of the band. The videoclip was shown in MTV, 40TV, Sol Music broadcast nationwide for some months, reaching Number 1 in MTV Rock Chart the 4th week within in the top list. Lo que quiera is chosen as the second single and the video clip had a similar impact to the first one. XXL promotion was completed by interviews, performances in TVE such as: Musica 1, MTV, 40TV, Radio programs as Rockservatorio, also many appearances in radio programs: Metal Hammer, Kerrang, Mondo Sonoro, Bad Magazine, etc. 117db was presented at Sala Caracol on the 5th of February 2004; from this time XXL starts a tour nationwide having excellent comments by the musical papers. They open concerts giving way to big bands such as Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Fear Factory, Korn or Slipknot. On the 14th of June 2005 "(12.0) Richter" was released under the same characteristics than the last one. The promotion is led towards the web. The top song would be Absolucin and they recorded the third video clip with this song. Ni un paso atrs, the second single, would be the fourh video clip that XXL recorded, produced for first time by the band itself and Espin brothers. The message is a declaration of intents. XXL presents the new album in the Spanish National Radio (Welcome to paradise), Localia Tv etc... Festimad, Via Rock, Iberrock and perfoming opening acts for well-known bands as Korn in Malaga and Barcelona were goals that were fulfilled with success. In 2007 the band takes control of its Carrere and this is when they ask and get released from Warner even while preparing what may be the most important album. The way is long and they are between composition, reproduction, recording and giving many concerts, including the opening act by Korn request in Cubierta de Legans, Madrid. Next year they will publish the third album by means of Indica which is an independent discography company. In August the 7th of 2009 the band announce that the drummer of XXL, Francisco Jos Ramirez, leaves the band and Miguel Febrero Millan (KELE) will be joining the band as the new drummer. The first performance for Kele was in a show in Canillejas, Madril, 6th of September 2009. The third album appears in February 2010 and it is called "Tercer dia". This is with no doubt the most personal work for the band. Soundscape gets open much more than in the last ones and the result is mucho more direct, melodic and deep. After 4 years of hard continuous work, "Tercer dia", would be the XXL resurrection. The energy and emotion of the songs included on the album are proportional to the effort and sacrifice to move forward with a production that has been led all by the band. Produced by XXL, mixed and mastered by Juan Acevedo (XXL's guitarist), the album is presented by using the first single Resurgir, this fifth video clip is arranged by Jaleos Producciones. On the 26th of February Tercer da is presented in Sala Caracol, Madrid, following by a nationwide tour where the band shows the knowledge taken throughout these years. After listening a few seconds of the new album you will find their message: We are back, we are alive and circumstances have made us stronger (Dani Criado: Bass player and main songwriter of XXL).
